About Us

Our Story

Kristy Miller, President of Kid Physical, knew from an early age that she wanted a career that would allow her to help children realize their full potential. While pursuing her Physical Therapy degree she specifically chose courses and internships in pediatrics. Once in clinical practice, she quickly maneuvered her career so that she could work exclusively with children who experienced a variety of challenges and diagnoses, impacting every aspect of their lives.

In 2008 she narrowed her focus to pediatric home care. Once inside her family’s homes, she realized that while providing support on how to help their children develop new gross motor skills was important, caregivers really needed a lot more guidance on hot to create a world that would help their child thrive. The needed direction on funding sources, options for equipment and home modifications, and advice on transitioning their child to daycare and school. They could also benefit from having a structured support group filled with other families who were experiencing similar successes and challenges.

At this point an idea was born. In 2013 Kristy incorporated Kid Physical, an organization that provides families with the holistic pediatric physical, occupational, speech, and feeding therapy services they need to help their child reach their potential.  Each home visit is tailored to meet the full scope of a family’s individual needs. While providing excellent developmental therapy services to the community, Kid Physical leads therapy sessions with compassion and a greater knowledge of the impact of sensory loss, trauma-informed care, and supporting kiddos with medical complexities.
