Challenger Baseball‘s mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges to enjoy the benefits of Little League participation in an environment structured to their abilities. Originally created in 1989 as a separate division of Little League Baseball, the Challenger program was expanded in 2015 with the introduction of the Senior League Challenger Division. Individuals ages 4-18 can participate in the Little League Challenger Division while individuals ages 15 and above (no maximum age) may participate in the Senior League Challenger Division.
Who can play?
Individuals with intellectual and physical challenges ages 4-18 in the Little League Challenger Division and ages 15 and above in the Senior League Challenger Division
Where do you play?
Goose Gossage Youth Sports Park 3950 Mark Dabling Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO
When are games played?
Games will be played on Sunday mornings. Sundays provide us the most flexibility as we are not competing with the league for fields. Most importantly, it allows us to take as much time as we need to play the games without being rushed off the field…or having to wait for the games before us to end. We will have an eight-game season this year highlighted by one Friday night game under the lights. There will not be a game during Labor Day weekend.

I am the Executive Director of Trinity Community Park which is the first ADA accessible park in the Monument area. We are writing grants for a145’x125′ turf field area. We intend for this space to be available for special needs groups to use. I was given your organization information as a possible user. I would like to connect and see what your organizations needs are. If this is something that is needed for you, etc. Would love to brainstorm and connect to better the community. Thank you!
Your park sounds like a great addition to the Monument and northern Colorado Springs area! It would be great to connect so we could learn more about your vision for the area and how our missions might overlap. Please reach out to Kristy at info@kidphysical.com to set up a meeting.
